If there are no restrictions, drink 2 to 3 liters of water daily.
If you're overweight, losing weight is important.

Recommendations:

  • Avoid using lotions and ointments on the surgical incision until it heals and the edges of the wound close completely.

  • You may use a binder as advised by your surgeon.

  • Inform your doctor if you experience fever, nausea, vomiting, bloating, or severe pain.

  • Visit your surgeon's office to remove stitches 10 days after the surgery.

  • After being discharged from the hospital, change the dressing on the surgery site every other day. It's important to note that if the wound is dry and shows no signs of inflammation or redness after the first dressing change post-discharge, you may not need to change the dressing again and can take a shower. Follow your doctor's instructions for stitch removal.
