Since early 2023 (1402), the Physiotherapy Department of Jam Hospital has resumed providing services to respected clients with complete renovation, purchase of modern and up-to-date equipment, and a skilled and professional team, located in the new building of the hospital.
In line with the goals of Jam Hospital, the main objective of the Physiotherapy Department is to provide safe, high-quality, specialized diagnostic and therapeutic rehabilitation services to enhance community health.
From a general perspective, the following goals are considered for patients visiting this department, which should be achieved through proper treatment according to each condition:
- Reduction of pain and inflammation
- Increase in range of motion
- Increase in muscle strength and power
In the physiotherapy unit, the compliance plan is fully implemented. This unit is active throughout the week except on holidays, during the day in two shifts (morning and evening). However, services are provided to hospitalized patients professionally and comprehensively throughout the entire week, including holidays. In emergency cases, an on-call physiotherapist is available to perform therapeutic procedures.
The Physiotherapy Department welcomes patients with the following conditions: fractures, orthopedic surgeries, chronic low back pain, sciatica, spinal pain, arthritis, rheumatic diseases, stroke, various types of paralysis and spinal cord injuries, joint problems and stiffness, neurological, skeletal, and muscular disorders and abnormalities, and more.
The Physiotherapy Department of Jam Hospital is equipped with the latest physiotherapy devices, such as:
- High-power laser
- Low-power laser
- Shockwave
- Biofeedback
- Traction bed
- CPM (Continuous Passive Motion) device for knee range of motion, and others.
The Physiotherapy Department consists of two separate sections:
1. Electrotherapy Section
2. Mechanotherapy or Exercise Therapy Section
1. Electrotherapy Section
This section includes separate cabins, each equipped with wooden treatment tables. In this section, the devices and modalities used in physiotherapy are available.

2. Mechanotherapy or Exercise Therapy Section
This is the section where patients perform therapeutic exercises.
Tools available in the mechanotherapy section include:
- Plinth (treatment table) with its accessories (springs, ropes, slings, pulleys)
- Stationary rehabilitation bike
- Rehabilitation treadmill with side loading – weights and dumbbells
- Traction bed
- Shoulder wheel
- Balance board, ramp, and stairs
