Celebrating World Breastfeeding Week (Promoting Breastfeeding – Ensuring the Health of Future Generations)
On the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week, a ceremony was held at Jam Hospital with the aim of promoting and raising awareness about the importance of breastfeeding. As a recognized Baby-Friendly Hospital, Jam Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the health of newborns and mothers through this event.
According to WHO recommendations, breastfeeding should begin within the first hours of life. This means that immediately after birth, the newborn is placed on the mother's abdomen, and the baby naturally crawls toward the breast and begins the first feeding.
The ceremony was attended by breastfeeding mothers, a group of obstetricians and gynecologists, the hospital's CEO, the nursing management team, and staff from the Delivery Room, NICU, and Obstetrics Department. Breastfeeding mothers were honored and appreciated with non-cash gifts.
